The weapon with an EXP-X ability is an entire build on its own, frankly. Then when you factor in you can equip a 3-piece armor set AND an accessory build, it gives you a pretty diverse character. This time around, I prefer EXP-HP myself, the boost gets you at least a couple hundred HP per hit, which can really make a difference in some fights.

Beat that first gate with lvl 100 characters and your best gear (or jump enemies if you really stink). Now you have access to the moogle north of the gate. He sells Skills. Buy lots of Jumps. Adjust level of characters to level 1. Go to first gate. Jump enemies to the finish = 49 KP (-10 KP to buy Jumps).

EXP shouldn't be taken as slowly as AP, but it shouldn't be sped through either, as you'll miss out on additions to the Records page in the museum and you'll come up short on AP quickly. My advice is whenever you are using lv100 characters for extended periods, switch to the Treasure Hunter plan and hold onto the Chocobo accessories.

The old Dissidia method (letting the opponent break you and go to 9999 BRV, then getting it with Magic Pot/Kraken) still works, though... Aerith's Seal Evil attack is an amazing way of keeping the opponent in place, so you can land that lethal blow.
